Fuel pump will not shut off.....

car: 88 2.3L N/A- Have been having problems with the car not wanting to start. once it finanlly starts, runs very rich. start down the road push in the clutch car cuts off.
Noticed the other day that after the car was off and the key was out the fuel pump was still running. had to disconnect the battery to get it to turn off.
Anyone out there got any Ideas?

pump relay in ccm is melted closed. Change the black box on the passenger strut tower the one with the plug that has about 8 million wires coming out of it.
