In my opinion, They have a better show than IHRA or NHRA. It is in Cordova, IL June 3 and 4th. Tickets are a little on the pricey side @ $30 bucks a pop. Not sure how it is going to be this year, typically the Saturday night show is followed up by Fireworks and there is a display of one bad a** School bus VS. A jet rocket funny car. IF YOU CAN MAKE IT, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. It's one bad a** show you'll never forget!!!!

I will be there! Not racing the car though, just want to watch one of these races first.

My prom was the first week of may, and graduation last sunday as well. Yours are getting to be really late.

I went to midnight madness there a couple times and it was pretty awesome, I'd be really tempted to go except I leave the 3rd for my class trip to Florida so unfortuantly I won't be able to make it this time. I really kinda want to run my car on the 1/4 just to see what times it will pull but I have more stuff coming now I need to put on anyway. Pulleys and a diablo tuner for starters. Then maybe i'll run it and see if I can pull a 16.

I know, my school is messed up. They like to screw our class for some reason...all four years. I hate them. Maybe I should get back to studing for my Spanish finial, rather than crusing the boards on here. :(

For those who can make it. I called Cordova. It is positively Firday and Saturday. All Day Friday and Saturday (possibly morning) but afternoon and night for sure. There are going to be no fireworks this year. :-( Anyway's I picked up two 2 day passes for $25 a piece. If you are only going one day they are $25 each at the door and $35 for both days. You can get them at O'reillys Auto parts cheaper, stop by one on your way out there and they are $10 cheaper (for 2 day). Probably $5 off for a one day pass.

speaking of chicago schools, today I was at six flags up there and there had to be a million little 8th graders. 400 different schools and they each had their own "Class of 05" tee-shirt. At first I looked at them and was like no way in hell that kid is 18. Good thing they were young though cause they all left by 3 and the park was empty!
I never knew "graduating" 8th grade was such an accomplishment.
Next do all chicago schools have fun field trips like that? Cause I know our's always sucked.

I was out there today. It was nothing special. Mostly 9.5-17 second cars. Maybe 3 dozen or so spectators.

I remember in eight grade I also had a t-shirt like that. We also go to go to medieval times and then we went to Washington, DC for a week.
