gas tank

    so what is the trick to removing the gas tank? I'm doing some welding and dont want the tank around. I'm stuck on the filler tub took the bolt out from the cap side its lose on that end on the tank side I see a rubber gasket where it goes in to the tank is that suppose to slide out? thanks for any help.

    The metal part slides out of the tank the rubber gasket stays.
