I am going to take the plunge for getting my gears done. I have been pricing out getting the gears and install kit through brenspeed.

I got a price of $200 to get them installed by my fathers friend who owns a performance shop. Is this a good price? He said he was giving me a deal - but I think it sounds pricey since he is my fathers friend.

    Thanks
    Nick

$200 is definitely a good price. Most shops charge $300+.

    Awesome! Sounds good, thanks Dark.

The guy who is going to do the install does racing cars at his shop. He is trying his very best to get me to get a S/C. I need to move out of my house soon so I don't want to be spending over 5k on my car at once!

Lol yeah. I've been wanting a SC for a while. I actually scheduled with Brenspeed for March, but backed out b/c I decided I didn't want to take out a loan. I've recently decided to go with NSR cams, headers, and giggle juice, along with some gears. I don't need to run 10's or 11's. Low 12's would be plenty, though mods and some practice, it's possible to break into 11's.

We had a special group purchase at my local mustang club that was about $400 installed including the gears. I don't know what the individual prices were, but I think that gears typically go for around $200. All indications were that it was a phenomenal deal.

$250 labor to have my 4.10's installed at a Ford dealership. I corrected the speedometer myself with my tuner.
