:D well the wife was getting tired of driving the windstar, so we traded it in for an Expedition. Now i can't stop trying to figure out ways to make it faster. Anbody have any ideas? I know they make a couple of SC kits for it, but i don't have 3K right now. My vision is to eventually transform it in to the expedition equevelant of the SVT Lightning. (I will call it the "THUNDER" :D ). Oh by the way it is a 2000 XLT 4x4 with the 5.4.

People don't buy Expeditions for gas mileage.....or Mustangs.

My pop has a Navigator, and it's SO slow! I think a blower would wake up your Expedition alot.

My wife is driving a 97 Expy 4X4. I was looking around on Ebay for stuff a few months ago, and saw an item that had all 8 fuel injectors, and a K&N intake, of a 5.4 Expy, used with around 30k miles on them. The K&N intake is like $300, and this was around $70, so I went ahead and got it. I E-mailed the guy a few times, and it turned out that he had gotten a complete SC set-up out of a wrecked Harley Davidson F-150, and had installed it on his Expy (he didn't say if it was 4X4, or not). He said it was a blast though.

By the way, I can't say the K&N added any performance, or mileage, but it definately sounds sweet (very pissed off).

Don't the Navi's have the 5.4 DOHC? I think it's like one of just a few vehicles with it. I think the Blackwood may have it also. And of course the Ford GT ... but it's all aluminum (a slight difference). I would ditch the 5.0 if I had one of those and a T-56 to slap in there .... New K-member or whatever, who cares ..... I'd go for it in a heartbeat.

BTW ..... the Expedition told me it wanted a KB! :D

didn't they already build a expy with a lightning motor and dubb it a thunder. Almost positive i have seen it before in a mag.

There is a guy intown that took the front bumper off of a lightning and put it on his expo. Looks pretty mean. But slow as dogg poop
