Stopped by my local Ford dealership on Sunday and they had a Windveil Blue v-6 (The same one that I sat in about three weeks ago with 298 miles on it although now it has 419. :bang: ) But anyways...they put white stripes on it and it is FREAKIN' BEAUTIFUL! I hadnt thought about stripes until I saw that car but now I want them! Soooo, I need stripe info/advice.

Will the dealership put them on for me? And if so do I have to buy them online or from a store first or does the dealership have them?

Prices?

TIA

Stay away from ther DEALER. Around here those stripes run about $600 if installed by teh dealer. Im thinking about some, but I only want hood and trunk stripes like the 69 Boss Mustangs had. In my opinion the stripes on the bumpers and roof are just to much. (disclaimer) Although Im not knocking anyone who has them, they just dont suit my taste. (disclaimer)

$600!?!? I don't want them that bad. LOL I guess when I stop by the dealership this week I'll have to ask if the sales manager can give me a quote.

Word of caution about stripes from grapics-express. Make sure you read the directions. I screwed up one of my stripes when installing it by not waiting the recommended 30minute cure time. I am an idiot. :D Other then that they have good stripes. My rocker stripes went on good.

Silver stripes on the windveil blue don't look so bad, either ;)

Got my dealer to throw the stripes in at cost when I ordered the car. Hopefully, he'll honor that. A 6 hour install project is a little more than I would prefer to tackle.

Sacha,

The stripes look great! I really like the set up. What's the width of your stripes?? Also, what's the measurement of the spacing between them. Thanks a bunch.

I'm actually not sure. The dealer had them done (I bought the car off the showroom floor). If you go to www.eastgateford.com there should be an email link - they have the same guy do the same stripes on all their stangs. They can give you the contact info there or even the measurements themselves.

Hey afixer, was it hard to install the stripes? I'm looking at those same exact ones from the same exact website for the exact same yellow stang (GT). But I can't find anyone here in WI to put them on and I don't wanna donate my left testicle to have the dealer do it for me. So was it hard? Could a 19-year old and his 52-year old father do them?

Here is my silver stripes on the Sonic Blue. All were purchased from Graphics Express and installed by a local aftermarket guy that works for the local dealers. All were installed for around $100...

bleedingvayneAD,
Unless I got a heck of a deal, I can't see why the price wouldn't be in the ballpark for the same decal application. Since this guy does aftermarket work for at least 6 different dealers in the area, I would have to say that's the going price for anyone. Unfortunately, I have seen quotes in different posts that ranged from $100-$600 for the same type job. You just have to find the honest person in the bunch who will do it for a reasonable price without taking you to the cleaners.
