How fast would one of these be with say 20 lbs of boost, upgraded turbo, built auto 85'?

Just wondering what these cars are capable of.

IIRC that GN had a v8 swapped into it.

A GN with that much boost and the mods to support it I would say high 11's being CONSERVITIVE. Just more boost than stock and tires can get them in the low 13's to high 12's.

There is one here in my town that's TT at 15psi running low 11's....just plain sick for a v6. One of the few GM's I would own.

i never get tired of seeing that dyno pull i love it i think its amazing that it couldn't get an accurate hp rating because it spun the dyno so its got more hp then that slip im sure.

sad to say but i would trade my stangs for one of those bad boys

They are not only quick, but they are fairly rare to find in decent shape/modified. I know that they are stolen quite often for that matter and that matter alone!!! But they are quick!!!

I couldn't afford a corvette and couldn't find a non-beat Grand National, so here I am, spewing my nonsense on stangnet.

86-87 are the fastest ones. I'm not too sure about the 85, it wasn't the same though. My uncle has a GNX that runs 10s and is plain scary.

Believe it or not guys. The design for the 232ci 3.8l in the V6 Mustangs from 94-04 is based off the Grand Nationals which had the 231ci 3.8l. Anything that you can do to a Grand National you can do to a 3.8 Pony with similar results. And actually has been. The current quickest mustang I believe runs low 11's. So yea that... Lets just say from owning my old 6 I gained a lot of knowledge on them. With some work they are not as slow as some might think.
