90-93 coupe is 2775, hatch 2834, and convertable is 2996. V6 models are 3077 for the coupe and 3257 for the vert.

    thanks

I was just doing some thinking. I test drove some V6's 2001 and just wasn't too impressed with their power. My idea was the size/weight difference. There's not a giant difference, but 302 lbs is a little bit. I would have thought the V6 would have felt so much stronger than my little 2.3, but it just didn't feel that way. Thanks for the numbers. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas.

p.s., TMX, I don't know if you saw it or not, but my ICM problem was a bad coil pack, just like u had suggested. $400 in parts and diagnostics, she is running great again. :D

yeah, my 93's problem was the coil shorted the ICM, but cought the huge crack in the primary coil before it killed the new ICM. But my 2000 V6 feel much stronger than my 93 I4. I test drove an 02 and the '00, this one will put you in your seat when I floor it and spins tires easily, even compared to the 02. Maybe the one I have has had slight mods and the stock air box and exhaust are preventing the potential.

I've driven both, and the v6 should feel a lot sportier. It should run mid 15s to mid 16s, depending on the trim. Compared to the 2.3, which will run 18s to 20, depending on the trim. Sounds like the v6 you drove is in pretty poor shape. I've driven a 00 V6 with low miles and an auto and it will get up and move from a stop, but really runs out of engine once you are moving. The tranmission short shifts in normal driving way to much for my liking.

I'm gonna have to agree. I currently own both a '93 5-speed 2.3 Notch and a '00 5-speed V6 and though the V6 isn't "fast" by any means, the 2.3 is probably the slowest car I've ever ridden in. You could easily be in the wrong gear in the V6 and still walk away from the 2.3.

I love my 2.3, but it really is horrendously slow and my 99-04 V6 Mustang would absolutely demolish it...

What about the weight of the 05 v6's?

I was thinking a twin turbo v6 project to throw on the table but Iam gonna weight till there more aftermarket support for the new motor.

If you want to mess with a new motor, wait for the 250hp 3.5L DOHC V6 in 2007.
05 curb weight is 3300, add 45lbs for an auto.
