hey guys jus wonderin what intake i should get when i do a h/c/i swap. i will more than likely have afr 165's with a custom grind from comp cams. but i cant decide between the gt-40 or the typhoon.

which one would be better for about 1500-6200 rpm  s??

well i havge never seen any numbers on either one as to what rpm range they are good for. i kinda want somethin that will pull above 6000. wii either of these be good.

and i love the looks of the gt-40 too. thats one reason why im considering it

isnt the typhoon more of a top end performer? from what I have heard the cobra/gt40 is the best bottom end intake.

the typhoon is pretty much an exact copy of the edelbrock performer intake. its a good intake. i threw a typhoon on my car when i ws still N/A and it lost a tad of low end but it picked up a bit up top.

well i have plenty of bottom end already even with the stock motor and gears. the motor jus doesnt have enough ass to keep pullin on the mid-top end range. 1st and 2nd gear hit really hard and as i get to the top of 2nd it jus starts fallin off. i need the top end power

This may have more to do with valve springs than intake.

The Gt-40 is no longer being made. You will have to find a used one.

I would not buy intakes for looks, but performance to match what you can do with your current/future combination and budget.

Almost Stock - So what does it take to turn an intake into a masterpiece like that?

Chinese pet food kills our pets, chinese toys w/ lead hurts our children. Why would you want a chinese intake?
