I've got an 01 V6 that is pretty much stock as far as the body goes. When the 03 V6's came out with the GT hood scoop for the pony package I thought it was a great idea. I'm looking to get that same GT hood scoop put on my V6, but Ford tried to tell me I couldn't. I found what I think is the right scoop at http://www.classicdesignconcepts.com/catalog/itemdisplay/545.html. Let me know what you guys think.
hey i was also lookin to put gt hood scoop and side scoops on my car. i was always wondering how u attatch the hood scoop though. i would guess ud have to bond it on some how but what would/are you supposed to use to stick it on there?
The scoop that I have linked on there is just a bolt on one. It comes with a template and everything.
mine was bolt on. There are some that only use 3M tape. I should've got the one with the 3M tape though. Would've been easier and less time consuming.
I work at an automotive accessories store, and all the hood scoops I've done have been with the 3M tape, I haven't seen any bolt-on applications.
