but i have to admit if i were to build a fwd 4cylinder it would def be an srt4 over anything else.

ok, so here is an SRT-4 owner story for you.

about 3-4 years ago, a guy i worked with bought an SRT-4. he kept running his mouth off saying he would smoke me. one day he kept saying he wanted to street race so he could beat me. i told him over and over that i don't street race, lets go to the track. he does the typical ricer thing and calls me a ****. this goes on for about 20 minutes and finally i just say f it, fine i'll go street race you right after you get off work. realizing i was dead serious, he turned around and said "but i have to wait until i can put parts on mine". i laughed histarically in his face. that was the last time he talked smack to me.

I have met a none cocky guy that has a srt4 and his has a built engine and about 25lbs of boost. Never seen it run but it sounds nasty. Anyway he was pretty cool.

Sounds about right. I raced a ****tR4 when I had exhaust and CAI, I lost but I was at his rear bumper the entire time. 17lbs sounds like a lot of boost but these cars run 14 stock like DBM stated earlier. Even the Evolutions run like 20lbs of boost.

Here's a acronym for dodge for ya Dumb Ole' Doddie Girl Engine. I'd rather build a 99 honda Si and boost it than drive a neon.

I know a few SRT4's that are quite respecatable... of course 90% of the SRT's around here in any form are driven by r-tards. I would never own one, well I wouldn't unless the only 2 choices I had were the NEON and a Cobalt SS... I'd rather have the SRT in that situation.

I killed those things with my near stock 02 GT over and over and over. The FWD kills them every time.

Im not a fan of them but I respect them as a decently quick car and they can be made very fast. I have a buddy with a bigger turbo and a bunch more that ran 11.9@125, he is cool as hell and really knows cars.

I also raced a guy with a 50 Trim @ 21psi from a 60 hit and pulled around 4 cars on him. It was a very quick car and hung with me better than I thought it would. That was with a bad tune on my car though so I think it would be worse now.

srt4s can be fast with a lot done. I've washed my hands with those cars though, ran way to many of them. here is a couple I had on hand.

Stage 2 srt 4 with some other crap done to it on top.

Mostly stock one (I had problems with my limited dlip on the burnout)

And finally one other one, apparently had a bunch done to it. Don't know for sure

Not a fan of SRT4's but I wouldn't underestimate them, especially if I was on stock motor. Most owners here can't drag race them for s**** but those cars can be deadly from a roll. I like to call them mini-Supras, just as I call Redlines and Cobalt SS mini-terminators.
