Hey where did you put your antenna. I have a 2000 GT Vert and I want XM but have no clue where I could mount the antenna where it won't look ugly as hell. Any ideas or pics would be great.

    Thanks

I have Sirius and I mounted the antenna all the way to the right side of my dash by the window. Not sure how comparable that is to XM, but it works great for me.

Inside the car? Anyone else done this with XM. I wouldn't mind having it on my dash, I just think they look fugly on the outside of the car.

Here's a link to my installation. I have my antenna mounted inside on the rear deck. It works good for me. If you get an antenna with a magnetic mount, then try it far back, on the rear speaker grill. I have it mounted like that on my STS, pictures also on my web site. It won't work inside the car very well if you have metallic window tinting. Try it inside, you can always relocate the antenna if you get too many drop outs.

PS -The new Roady2 antenna is VERY small.

I don't have XM in my mustang, but I did put it in my patrol car. I stuck a little velcro to the bottom of the antena and stuck it to the rear deck. It works great. Maybe a whole 5% less signal than when it was mounted on the roof of my other vehicle.

One thing I noticed is it works better the closer to the center of the window you can get it. When I stuck it in the corner, I would lose signal anytime that side of the car was facing north.
