i have a 97 mustang 3.8 and have done a lot of work to it. i ordered a set of underdrive pulleys for it about a year ago and its been nothing but problems since.

the car has had the engine replaced, and much to my dismay, it was replaced with a 2000 reman ford engine.

my question is what is the difference between the cranks in the 94-98 and 99-04? are they balanced differently?

really, what i need to know is... are the 3.8L's balanced differently? i dont think they are, but i want to make sure. i dont think they are because they use the same flywheel (i have reused literally everything from the car onto the newer motor)....

i would really like to get rid ofthat crap ass one piece balancer/pulley crud from the 2000 motor and go back to the normal balancer with my u/d's (which are just collecting dust).

    thanks
