Now I don't know if this is the correct forum so feel free to move it mods. I need to know the wiring for the hatch release in an 88 mustang. The button in the glove box doesn't work. Does it run off a relay or does it simply apply 12v+ to a wire to unlock? Inquiring minds want to know!

just make sure you run a separate relay, When i did mine i just found a hot wire and ran it to a relay then patched it to an open channel on the alarm for remote trunk release. It works well. If you dont use the proper relay though you can burn up your alarm.

Ya my alarm required a relay so I had to install it otherwise i guess it wouldn't work. 87a relays rule. Use 'em on anything. Thank you the12volt.com too!
