    Hello All-

In the near future I will be installing a pair of JBA headers and a Magnaflow cat-back exhaust system. I am pretty confident when it comes to working on my car, but does anyone have experience installing headers on an '03 V6? From what I can see looking under the hood, the headers are down at the bottom of the block, in a what seems to be very inaccessible position. Will I need an engine hoist to complete this installation? Also, since I'm basically redoing the whole exhaust, should I look into a new cat converter and pipes (x pipe, y pipe, h pipe, whichever it is... that part always confused me)?

    Thanks a million,
    Adam

i just had installed a pair of jba shortie ceramic headers with a an slp high flow cat x-pipe and the slp loud mouth gt exhaust system. You may need a lift to get to the headers or if so then use a hoist. i would also recommend using some kind of bolt loosener for the header bolts 1 or 2 days before install so it helps when the time comes to take them off, cause they're a pain to do. and yes some new cats will not only sound better but also be more fuel effecient.
