so i recently came into 500 dollars credit at my local shop, i was thinking about getting some bbk shorty headers to go with my flows and xpipe.. should i do the headers or something else? will i notice a difference with them?

I just installed motorsport shorties on mine and did notice a little diffrence but it sounded better with factory manifolds for some reason... plus it was NOT at all worth the trouble of instalation!

Whatever you do, do not get shorties they are a waste of money on these cars. The only ones to get are long tubes. If you can't get long tubes then don't get headers.

And from what i understand it requires pulling the motor to install longtubes... probably not worth the gain unless motor is out of the car already

Flowtech's or Mac's can be had for under $500. Both are long tube.

how much lighter are shorties than the factory cast iron? That alone is worth the gains.

And pretty much anyone who's done it would argue that no headers are worth the hassle if you don't care about dyno numbers or street racing. That sure doesn't stop people from doing them, though :)

Get a tubular K-member and then down the road when you have the cash for long tubes it will be a peice of cake to put on.

Shorty headers are a waste. If you're going to do headers, you need to go with longtubes.
