302, Edelbrock 1406 625 cfm 4-bbl. Installed Hedmans today, and it runs like crap. Stalls, chokes, hard to start. The mufflers aren't hooked up; it's just emptying out the 3" collectors. It ran KILLER with the restrictive exhausts; anyone find they had to make changes in jetting or timing when they replaced the exhaust manifolds with headers?
    Thanks and Merry Christmas,
    - Joey

it sounds like a major vacuum leak to me. check the back of the carburetor for a 1/4" npt plug, usually used for the brake booster. if that doesn't pan out check that you're getting fuel and not vapor lock. edelbrocks are prone to vapor lock. thats the only thing i can think of that would involve any change in the exhaust. ( change in heat).

Joey you have had the plugs and wires off for the header install; check your firing order.
