help! installing fire wall adj & quadrant HELP!

    i just put my fire wall adjuster and quadrant in, i have a brand new cable but its like its way to short, i have the fire wall adjuster adjusted all the way in, and it so tight i have no play in the pedal at all! i rely dont want to drive it like that bucause thers so much pressure on the tob, and i have to go to work tonight

    EDIT can you buy different lenght cables?

    You can try a cable for the 01-04 GT's I believe they are longer.

    Aftermarket new cable or stock new cable. I would run the stock cable with the adjuster, but that is me.

    I think he has a stock cable but it's too short. There are 2 different length cable that are on Stangs. The longer ones are on the later 01-04 stangs. One of those should work just fine for you. I recently installed a new clutch & flywheel. At the same time, I put in a Steeda quadrant & cable adjuster with a brand new stock cable for my '02GT. Everything fit perfectly and is working great.

    yeah it the stock cable its 70in i called napa they have the 70 and a 62 i finally go it to work, i had to cut the outer casing, so it would be shourter but i got it to work

    Yea, you have to cut some stuff off of the stock cable for it to work properly. Glad you got it goin'.
