Help! My 302 ticks loudly when it gets hot

My car starts fine and runs smooth when it’s cold, but at operating temperature it start’s misfiring and ticking loudly from one valve cover.

Does anybody know why it would only do this after it’s hot?

It is a 87 LX 5.0

May have a collapsed lifter.

Yup, or a worn rocker or worn/bent push rod.
Recent valve train work?
Determine which cylinder is misfiring and check compression.
