I installed the steeda crank pulley set today on my 08 mustang gt. Everything installed easily. When I turned on the car to test it, it reved up to 2k like it is soposed to then coming back down to idle it made a clunk sound. So i turned it off very quickly.

So I put the car back up and took the crank bolt back out and there was no damage to the end. I torqued it back to specs and checked the belt. Everything was fine?

I am hesitant to start it back up until i know what it might have been or may be wrong. Can anyone Help???

Maybe the pully did not seat all the way the fist time, and "popped" into place once the engine was run? It is a tight fit, and would only take a small burr or other foriegn matter to keep it from sliding all the way on. Or maybe something with the belt tensioner? Keep an ear out for it.

Weird. Just check everything over. I had no problems with my Steeda UDPs.

Started it up yesterday and no problems at all. Very weird considering the clunk shook the car. Im just glad that I didnt loose sleep over it last night.
