looking at an online car for sale, and it said this... i was wondering if you guys could give me some answers.. (i know nothing about saleens, roush, etc.)
    they want 15k

is this a saleen, or a gt with a body kit?
    is it supercharged?
whats the stock hp and tq?
    worth looking into or not....

This car, has been sitting in my garage for four years
    it’s got 5000 miles.
It’s almost brand new, now you won’t find another car this new
In top of that is got the “SALEEN” package, and price is firm for the same reason

    vehicle Description
    Year: 2004 VIN: 1FAFP42X04F107162
    Make: Ford
Model & Trim: Mustang Premium GT
    Body: Coupe Title: Clear
Engine: 4.6L SOHC 16-VALVE S Exterior: Torch Red
Cylinders: 8 - Cyl. Interior: Black Leather
Transmission: Manual - 5-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION W/OD Warranty: still exist

it has the slanted lines behind the front tires, saleen on the back bumper, and the wing that ive seen on other saleens

    ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED

Got any pictures? Any more info? $15K seems awfully low for a 2004 Saleen. I'd bet it's a GT that's just had the Saleen body kit added to it, since the Saleen parts are readily available to anybody. All Saleen did was take a GT and convert it. Meaning, you won't really be able to tell just by looking at the VIN (though you might be able to call Saleen and see if that VIN is one of their conversions).

Does the car have a production number on the front bumper below the driver's headlight? If no, chances are it's not an authentic Saleen. *One* of the giveaways. Does it have Saleen seats? Gauges? The extra gauge pod on the dash?

As I stated, $15K does seem awfully low for even a 5-year-old Saleen. But if it is the real deal, I'd be all over it for sure. :)

Stage 1 is usually just a body kit and stickers

Stage 2 has suspension work added to the first stage

Stage 3 I think is exhaust, intake, supercharger added to 1 & 2

there may be more to it but I think thats the basics

you might be looking at a Stage I for that price.

or like IIgood said just sombody adding the saleen parts

the 04 premium goes for about 11,000 - 12,000 in my area so it may not be much of a deal:shrug:

Maybe that package is worth 3,000
