Hey all, I ran all my wires today and hooked up an old amp and!... of course amp didn't turn on. :bang:

I had the power running directly off the battery terminal and the groud was just touching the back of my trunk for a temp try to see if the amp would go on. However, I didn't know which fuse to pop the remote into. Can anyone post a pic of which fuse it is? I don't have my car manual and would like to know which fuse is for the radio. Thx alot!

    Btw, 00 gt. Thx again!

I just tried it 2 hours ago and it works. In the fuse box under your dash, if you were sitting in the drivers seat it the one on the veryleft closest to you.

Only temporary tho I don't know if it is always on.

Hmmm...what accessory doesnt work with the car off.....i can't think. Try tapping into the radio fuse and see if that works, i dont know if that one is the constant or the ignition turn on though? You'll have to test it. If you are trying to see if it works, the amp itself, just temporarlily hook it up to the battery, and make sure that where you are tapping the ground wire to is bare metal and no paint. Also make sure that you have a fuse on your power wire as CLOSE as possible to the battery, no farther than a foot or two. I also had another fuse in the trunk in my old car for extra protection, if though the amp has one. You definitely do not want to forget the fuse at the battery though, unless you want your car to go up in flames, i saw it happen. This kid i know, thought he knew everything about car audio, so he hooked up his girlfriends camaro and guess waht, i was at my friends deli and she was getting a sub and she looked out and her car was on fire! all b/c there was no fuse to blow and when it grounded by accident or wear, i can't remember the wire had so much energy that it started a fire. Ignorance is the worst.

Thx a lot, I did have my grounding on a painted surface. I'll have to bolt it down when I get to work on it next.

Black and Pink wire off the deck is what I used for remote wire....works like a charm (on when ignition is on)
