HID Issue

so after 1 1/2 my old thrown together hid kit died. me and a buddy of mine installed a new kit with the high/low beam function and some adapter to fool the car into thinking it has headlights. i had nothing but problems with the drivers headlight, for example it would fire up and shut down within seconds of turing the lights on. after driving for a little while and turning them on and off it would finally stay lit. He installed a new kit and tried a can-bus ballast worked great saturday and now i no passenger headlight. anyone else expirence this before?? and is there a perfered kit for this car?

I have a kit from vvme that I've had for over a year. Ordered the 55 watt and with the relay kit. Worked great from day one, easy install. My son has the kit in his truck and no issues over two years.
