    Hi guys,

Wasn't sure if this was technically "tech" or not, so I decided to post here.

Seems I have finally got my engine temps under control. Moved from electric fan to flex-fan with a shroud. The one issue I have is the shroud is not an exact fit (Griffin aluminum radiator) and there is a gap along the top and bottom where the shroud stands away 1/4" or so from the radiator, thus allowing air to be easily pulled in there as opposed to through the fins.

I put some duct tape over the gap today and it made a huge difference in the air being pulled through the radiator. Problem is that is got all shriveled and pulled away in spots after a 30 minute drive. I was wondering if there was a "high-temp" duct tape or some other product that would be good for application that someone could recommend?

    Thanks!

    Regular Duct tape, :notnice:
Use heater tape, Its a thin alum foil tape.
    plumbing supply or Hardware store.

If you can mold metal, the fold a thin strip of tin/alum,
over and 1/4 in length of flat bar stock.
This will give you a U shape.
Then cut to length and trim the fold over down to size, till it clips in place and use a couple of small screws to hold it on.

    Just the voice's. :p

off topic but, 3m makes clear duct tape.
So now duct tape body work will not have the white trash flavor that it used to.

Foil Tape. Find your favorite A/C repairman, and wangle a deal to get a few feet worth from him, he should have a roll in his van. Hell, a whole roll of that stuff is less than $10, look for an air conditioning supply house near your place. You'll find some pretty creative uses for this tape. Be warned. It is sticky!!!

    nope.

In fact you could duct tape an entire body panel onto the car, and it would still be a 20 footer. :D
