Hey has anyone tried this. I could not find anything searching the forums about this. I would like to get a c4 behind my 347 stroker I just broke in 100 miles and the t5z with only a 1000 miles is howling like an ati procharger or vortech supercharger. Questions I Have Will I need to get the tv linkage with a c4? Will I need to get an auto flex plate balanced to the stroker motor? Any suggetions on what stall I would need with a ford z303 cam with 290 dur and .552 lift the power band on the cam is 3500 to 6500 however the car has stroke so it's not a dog down low. Reasons for me wanting to go c4 are as follows. Funny thing with the clutch let up and the t5z in neutral the car wants to drive on its own and lunges forward. However if the clutch is on the floor everthing is fine. Sometime also the car dose not want to go into gear from neutral . I have been through 3 clutches and 1 stock t5 already with the old supercharged combo. d and d told me the t5z would handle 450 hp not drag raced hmm I wonder what about the torque? anyone runnin one with 400ft lbs let me know.
Umm, this may sound like a stupid question.. but. Did you put any fluids in the T-5??? I see no reason why that trany should be making any noise after only 1k miles. "d and d told me the t5z would handle 450 hp not drag raced hmm I wonder what about the torque?" There are a lot of factors in that actually. It depends on a lot of things. How hard you launch the car, the amount of traction you are trying to obtain, the weight of the stang... There is no "this is how fast it can run!! end of story!!" myself, ive destroyed two stock t-5's behind a stock stangs engine. 1990 LX. best time was a 13.85@99.95 mph. But, I beat the hell out of that thing. powershifting is not nice to t-5's. However, a good friend of mine ran a 10.87@127.xx with a stock T-5. not powershifting. So, it depends. power isnt everything.. there is more envolved. my .02 anyway.
