Hi-
I have a early 80's 302 that came out of a Thunderbird, and I tried to install an Edelbrock intake this afternoon, but ran into a porblem. The intake seems to sit lower than the stock manifold and there is a hole in the center of each head, that is visible with the manifold in place. I have been told this is for EGR, but something has to block it, and all the gaskets I have tried aren't tall enough to cover it. The guy at the parts store said it might be a 255 out of a Thunderbird, but I have always bought things for it as a 302. Am I missing something? This thing is driving me nuts so if any one has any suggestions I would sure appreciate hearing from you.
Thanks,
Paul
