I made the 91st pass in the car tonight and we think it might have given up. I rolled it off the trailor, had a bad take off and went 8.4 w/ 100shot. They set it on pro tree so the lights were completely different. I rolled out about 15 ft and nailed it and the wheels came up VERY noticeably. On the 2nd run I sprayed it from the beginning and had serious problems. When I hit 2nd the car died hard, Puffed alot of black smoke twice, one big puff of white smoke and then picked up really hard. I went through the traps and left off and smoke was rolling. When I got back to the truck it was knocking. We aren't completely sure where its coming from. I didn't lose any fluids at all or turn any over the top RPMs. A while back I thought I lost bottom end and instead the flywheel bolts backed out. This may have happened again. Also I noticed after the trip a few weeks ago I developed a problem with the TC 8.8. I twisted one of the axle tubes from the center section. Oh well We'll see what actually broke tomorrow.
yeah but as cheap as I am refuse to let this car get costly. I have several "sets" of engine and drivetrains for this car. I hate that I did this on my last trip to the track for a little while since I start school monday.
