how do I insert pictures.

    Either use the "manage attachments" feature when posting a reply to a message or hotlink to a picture hosted off-site (such as on your own webspace, etc) by using the (img) (/img) string (replace all "(" with the "[" style brackets for it to work).

    And when you put the tags on each end, make sure you have them butted up against the link or else they won't show up.
