My '03 "hit" my dealer on the Tuesday of its build week.

Which also, BTW, was the day after the official "Job 1" date for the IUP and bright wheel options.

Early October is my guess. From past experiences, maybe mid-Oct.

It's likely going to be longer than a week or two. While it is "dealer" info. I have heard from 3 dealers that it would be three weeks at least after the build date. Before an ordered mustang would be on the lot.

Heh, I don't know about anyone else but I already noticed the supply of SN95s dwindling in dealerships.

Depends where you are the one up the street has a bunch of Mustangs sitting out front. V6, GT and Cobra.

Anyone who wants an 04 Stang, should wait until the 2005 comes out. I see a ton of them sitting on lots. They'll be a real steal when the 05 is out.

Actually the way the sales have been going, 04s are suppose to be the most sold in the 99+ body style.

We can all expect some delay in getting the new cars to the lots. FMC will want to be sure to do extra QC checks on the new model - especiilay the first batch that are built. This could hold up delivery for a bit. The last thing FMC wants is a botched rollout of this car.

We'll all have to be patient. It will be worth the wait. :spot:

I hate to tell you that your dealer doesn't know what he's talking about. Since job 1 has not even begun, he can't realistically know when the first cars will be delivered. :spot:

If anyone is interested in the 04's check out www.fordfreedomsale.com
Some descent deals through Sept 6.

I guess I can see someone going for the 04 in the case they only like that bodystyle. Now would be the last chance to grab one. I can't wait to see an 05 'legend lime' gt on the lot however! :D

It's not just a new body, it's an entirely new chassis. Ford has had several less than smooth new car launches and they will take extra time to deliver a new car. It's possible it'll be on time, but I have a feeling it won't be. Time will tell.
