i paid a little under two hundred for the full install, fluids, seals, & a couple of things that needed replaced while they were in there in the spring i'll be seeing them again for another go round of 4.10's
I recently got quoted $250 for install full install wo/ gears, $399 for full install including FRPP gears. Needless to say i'm getting 4.10's real soon.
I HAD 4.10'S INSTALLED TODAY FOR $400 What's a friction modifier? They rattled that off on me today as part of their install too
I was quoted everywhere from 500 on up to a whopping 1600. I finally remembered my old neighbor back in Idaho and took it to him. He would have done it for free, but I gave him $200 for his trouble. It was worth a lot more, IMO.
I paid 400 including fluid and seals, gears seperatley for $130. I paid a little extra, but I think gears are one of the things worth paying extra to get done right. So I would recommend paying whatever the shop wants that you trust. So far Ive had no problems.
I was quoted $200 for the gears and alum driveshaft install.. don't know about all the fluid/bearing/safety loop yet.. just waiting for my next paycheck
I think a friend of mine got em done for 250 by his friend's dad. I'm about to ask a buddy of mine who works as a chevy tech how much he'll charge (he has 2 fox body mustangs though). One question though. I looked on mustang tuning and they have 2 install kits, one with just seals and stuff and the other has bearings with it for a little extra money. My car only has 23k miles on it so do I need the extra bearing stuff?
