I was quoted everywhere from 500 on up to a whopping 1600. :rlaugh: I finally remembered my old neighbor back in Idaho and took it to him. He would have done it for free, but I gave him $200 for his trouble. It was worth a lot more, IMO.

I paid 400 including fluid and seals, gears seperatley for $130. I paid a little extra, but I think gears are one of the things worth paying extra to get done right. So I would recommend paying whatever the shop wants that you trust. So far Ive had no problems.

I think a friend of mine got em done for 250 by his friend's dad. I'm about to ask a buddy of mine who works as a chevy tech how much he'll charge (he has 2 fox body mustangs though).

One question though. I looked on mustang tuning and they have 2 install kits, one with just seals and stuff and the other has bearings with it for a little extra money. My car only has 23k miles on it so do I need the extra bearing stuff?
