I need help. I have a 04 with mach 460 and 6 disc changer. These are mp3 cd players, right? Everytime I make a mp3 cd, it will say its a cd rom and spit it back out. So my question is how do i make an mp3 cd that is playable in a mach 460 cd player?

I don't know what your using to make your cd's but I use the windows xp and open the cdrom drive and drag my mp3's into the drive and then I tell it to burn these files and a wizard pops up and ask if it want an audio cd or data cd you gotta click audio, it sounds to me like you might be making a data cd instead of an audio cd.

It does not play mp3's if it's a stock unit in a 2004 model.

The only way you are going to be able to hear music of your own is to convert the mp3's and burn them as wav's in an audio format.
