I feel ya. I think some places had tornadoes as well. I've been working 12 hr shifts since the friday before the store. My house is undamaged but other places look like a bomb went off. I saw a trailer park completely wiped out. 200 trailers shredded like paper.

wow, that sucks.... the only thing that matters is that you and your family (AND STANG!) are safe... everything else can be replaced.

My company (St. Joe Company) has a branch office down in Boca and they still don't have power yet. It sucks because they do our payroll and issues our vendor checks....... I have a stack of invoices about 6" tall on my desk all ready, approved and entered into the computer. Since the Boca office issues the checks after I send them down there, our vendors won't be paid until the Boca office is back up and running. Also our server is down too...... I guess it could be worse though.

    How is RC (and family)??

Kyle (nagash01ws6) and I are about 30 mins from Orlando... let us know if we can do anything for you. I have a big truck now lol.

I plan on heading to Charleston, SC it's cold during the winter but doesn't really snow. That's as far north as I'm willing to go a miracle would get me to travel further. We've has a rough 2 years and i don't think it's going to let up, but that's just me. Tampa/Lakeland, Fl would be a great place to stay very relaxing area (read not city life), if you're looking for city life Miami,Fl has your name written all over it (if you can afford it $$).

You should move up here to the Clearwater area man, we haven't been hit directly by a Hurricane since the 30's supposedly, it's a good size city but it's not huge like Miami like you said.

(plus then I could get detailing tips and tricks from you :Word: )

All the regular S. Florida Stangnet posters still have no power that's why they have not posted. Cell service is horrible right now. Some cell towers have been knocked down.

I've heard they opened some gas stations but the lines are 5-6 miles long. They are only allowing $20 max worth of fuel. Waiting all day for 8 gallons is nuts.

I'd love to live in that area BUT the g/f will be in SC making plenty of $$ while the Air Force pays most of the bills. Live all most rent free, and bill free or give you detailing tips hmmmm :rlaugh: . Besides if she decides to go reserves there is a base in Tampa, so there may be a possiblity of relocating there after her time to reinlist comes and we decide on what we want to do (or what she tells me I want :( lol).

    WE ARE FINE!!

There was another thread about the storm, and I kept checking that post for Joe to reply, but I didnt see one.

Dont wanna sound like Im complaining, because in the grand scheme of things, we did ok.

All my nice landscape designed trees were down. (got them all back up)
2 big oak trees and a flowering tree down (saved the 2 oaks)
3- 50 gallon bags full of debris from the pool
At least 25 tiles missing/broken from roof.

My entire berm area (Joe has seen it) is full of snapped ficus trees (those of you who are familiar with ficus', they usually uproot, rarely snap.

The first wave came through from the SE, winds were about 90mph sustained. Second wave came from due W...this was the main damage-causing wind...about 110 sustained and 120+ gusts....Most of my landscaping fell towards the E....the tiles missing were on the W side of the house...we could here the thumping on the roof.

I had very little flooding here, since it is new area, drainage is excellent, and our houses are raised up about 8'

We lost power at 9am and got it back at 8PM...not too shabby.

I prayed for all those on here that I know, and it seems like everyone will do just fine.

    Thanks
    RC

Hey that mini-van has 240+HP, probably more than what your car is pushing.:D Seriously, I have a 6 year old and 9 month boys a mini-van is required at this point. It is the wife's obviously.
