    Great forum guys!

I recently got a 94 V6 Convertible for a song and a dance. The car runs great at 145k, but the HVAC controls are screwy. When I flip the controls from Vent to floor to AC, etc.... nothing changes. It's stuck on windshield defrost.

I have a FSM on CD from Ford, but before I go digging into the dash, I figured I'd ask to see if anyone has a direct suggestion or has had the same problem. I've pulled the HVAC control unit off and all wires are accounted for.

    Suggestions?

    Vacuum Line

You're problem is most likey under the hood. There is a hard small vacuum line running from the driver side next to the fire wall to a vacuum tree at the passenger side, then it runs into the firewall. The hard plastic one has probably come off or broke. When its not connected the switch will default to defrost
