Alright so im standing outside talking to my guitarist, just have a conversation about his amp when i look up cause i hear something by the neighbors. I live in a culd-a-sac and im on the edge so i can see the whole circle. I realized something, my neighbor three houses up has an 80s thunderbird sitting in his driveway. Im standing there thinking about how i would be so happy if i could get the turbo 2.3 out of one of those. so im standing there still talking to my friend not thinking anything of it, and BAM! Like a brick in the face! I remembered hearing that thing spool a little one day when i was outside. But it was about a year and a half ago and i wasnt looking for a car yet, and i didnt remember until i was looking at it. Then i remembered it had the two little turbo vents in the hood. I was like AHHHH thats got to be a 2.3T. I was so excited! the guy is older probly late 40s early 50s and the turbocoupe is a clunker. Its missing paint all over the back. And god knows if hed ever let me take it off his hands. But who wouldve guess that the one thing i want so bad right now was three houses away. I need to go ask him if he wants a couple extra bucks. Suggestions?

Yeah, a guy I know that just lives right up the road from me GAVE me a complete running '88 Turbo Coupe engine (minus the intercooler and a couple other parts) about a week ago....sucks because foir the last couple months I've been rounding up parts to convert my '84 engine to '87-88 specs :nonono: But, there's still several parts on it I can use, it's still cool.

my pops told me that he would get me a new tranny, he also told me that it would be about a grand for a fresh rebuild on it. I figured that if i could get a working tranny out of it and a new engine for cheaper maybe he would like to purchase both and put them in. Maybe i can pull some strings and i could get it. hopfully
