Where's Crovax? I expected a ripping from him about it on TF?

    240 hp/316 torque

hit the 316 at 3,050 rpm. 19 lbs boost. A/F stayed flat going just to lean at 6k which I can live with.

That of course made me really happy since by looking at the engine the only non-stock looking thing is the front mount intercooler (and it's just a TC).

So before the next reunion I must do the following:

    1. Ported head/polished chambers/roller cam
(SVObrown is picking up this cam http://www.automotosports.com/camspec.asp and I might do the same if I like his results.)
    2. ditch the E6 for someone's exhaust manifold.
    3. 3" Exhaust elbow
    4. Re-install CAI like the LX setup
    5. Bigger IC if I can find one really cheap.
    6. I'd really like to run street 22 lbs boost, w/ a good IC might be able.

Goal = 50 more hp, 60 more torque

Think I can make the goal? short or beyond?

Well I can't say much. You added the throttle body after we raced but I DID BEAT YOU!

I'd say adding all that stuff will gain you 30hp and 20 tq...unless you increase the boost.

Oddly enough, most of the time the torque stays about the same as the HP increases on these engines...

Yes, def must increase the boost, but havta get all those ingredients working together towards that.

Then, if your estimate pegs the new numbers - well I could live w/ that. :D

That Torque is off the wall

Man I'm going to go with Stinger on this one. If you add a few pounds of boost on top of this you should meet your goals exspecaily with a bigger FMIC. I will say I noticed a big difference when I bolted my ported/roller cam head on but I still think you'll need a little more boost to meet your goal. I really would like to see a picture of that TC being used as a FMIC :nice: Maybe I should do that to my car since it needs a FMIC also. At any rate keep us posted on who she goes :flag:

Thanks Hawk, pretty stoked about the torque.

oh yeah I def hope to up the boost, I'd like 2 more pounds, I haven't tried it since I found that my car likes Amoco better than Texaco, it may be fine for upping the boost now. No more ping issues.

This new cam is a roller btw, I've got a Ranger in my LX and been real pleased with it.

You can go to my SVO webpage and see all those IC pics.

I'm not sure I would put much more boost than what your sporting right now on the TC IC. I always heard the limit was like 18-20psi but you probly got a better guess about it than me. I still need to click on your site and see how it's all set up also.
