Ok, I installed a new indiglo guage faceplate overlay on my 02 GT. What I didn't count on was the fact that I would have to replace the guage needles without reference to where they were origionally. I managed to get them pretty darn close (if I do say so myself) but my speedo is off by about 5mph. Is there an easier method to accomplish this other than the trial & error method I have been using? Perhaps reflash my ECM? Any help would be greatly appraciated!

Well, you might get more replies if you didn't post in the 2005+ area. :D

Anyway, it really is trail and error.

I assume you are comparing your gauge readings to the odometer readout in test mode? I mean, where the odometer digits show speed and you compare that to the current speedometer reading? And where it shows the RPM's and you compare that to the current tach reading?

What I did, was to note just how off I was (say 3 MPH), and then take the cluster back off, and move the needle just 3 MPH. That should scale the trail and error approach down to just one or two iterations.

Thanks for the info. I didn't realize I posted in the wrong area. I am new to this site & had an issue initially.

Anyway, No, I didn't use my test mode as I did not kno9w of such a thing (I'm new to stangs too). How do you do this? What I did was ask a cop who happened to be taking radar to verify my speed. Anyway, any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
