I imported my car to the UK from Canada. It came with the instrument cluster in KMH instead of MPH. I bought a replacement MPH cluster from Ford. It works fine except every time the transmission is in Reverse it chimes/beeps and does not stop untill its out of revese! Anyone any ideas why/how i can fix it??

i bet they did not install the cluster properly. there is a procedure to follow before the cluster can come out, then another after it is installed.

check your odometer too. notice anything funny?

I put in My Color and have the same thing. I was told it has something to do with the comptuer and the beep can be eliminated. It also beeps if you are driving and hit 80 MPH or so. A warning, I guess. I've gotten use to it. It reminds me when I am in reverse and driving faster than I should. There are no other problems or differences.

Thanks for gettin back to me guys. Mines chimes at speed as well it thinks its 75mph it does it at!

Are you aware of the correct procedure for replacing the cluster? I have tried speaking to a Ford dealer about it here in Scotland, but since the mustang is not sold over here they are unable to help!

it may be too late if they still dont have your cluster. before swapping the cluster, they were supposed to upload the information from the old cluster.

    does that help at all?

My computer supposedly was reflashed and the change made correctly. But it still chimes. I have just gotten used to it.

Auto. I love a manual, but I've 54 and have arthritis and other problems so I've had to go auto. I actually have a handicapped permit. I get strange looks at times when I park in a handicapped spot with a Mustang.
I'll have to be close to death before I give up my Mustang.
