alright, so i was planning on picking up some vt stage1 cams this coming tax season and so a few other mods to my car.

then they announced the '08 bullitt coming out....

i plan on buying the bullitt, and get rid of my gt....

but i want cams so bad.... :(

i dunno what to do. is it worth the money to buy cams even if i'm only keeping the car another year or so afterwards?

buy the cams man. you got just about 2 years before it even comes out. you can save up plenty of money from now till then to buy the bullit. you dont have to replace the valve springs or anything like that with stage 1's. just get them and have fun with them. thats my suggestion.

two years? IF they announced a 2008 bullit, it would come out this coming summer. About in August/september 2007. How do you figure 2 years?

I'd save for the new car UNLESS you are going to install the cams yourself. Then i would get the cams

Definitely save up. You'll be putting more money into a car that already depreciates faster than you can comprehend. Definitely keep the $500+install to put towards the new Bullitt.

i planned on getting stage1's so that i could do the install myself, which i would.

ford hasnt said a whole lot about it, but i imagine the bullitt will be released in 2008 as an '09 model???

No it is not worth it. Installing those cams will just empty your wallet and make your trade in worth less.

The Bullitt was probably be a late car like the 01 was as a half year model, which means Jan 08 or later. You also don't know what it'll have. Might be color and trim only.

I'd mod the snot out of the GT until Ford gets "bold" and actually tels their customers what's going on.

    no cams then!

i do get to enjoy my subframe connecters that were installed a week ago though :)

depending on what we know at the time, i may end up waiting another year and get the "refreshed" model in '09

but plans of right now are picking up a bullitt when they arrive :D

09 model...thats a long time from now. I'd say mod the GT if thats the case. Thats 2-3 years from now. Your GT will be worth nothing by then anyway (mods or not).

I say mod the GT, and in 2-3 years sell it to some highschool kid lookin for a car and THEN go buy your bullit.

Sell the car now, get a daily driver econobox and drive that with the $ in the bank. This is the best way to save your $ from devaluing.
