Something isnt right... I cant break traction... I have 275 40 18 inch goodyear eagle f1 tires on the rear... I got beat by a celica gts... That isnt normal... I have 4:10 gears... I was driving it tonight and turned off all stereo and crap... And heard this noise like brake pad on rotor... but i jus put new brakes on and it seems like it coming from the middle... You think my 4.10 gears or something is messed up... I got beat by a celica gts with an intake... ERRRR
I dont know if this helps but below like 10 mph u cant hear it but after that u can... I realize it cause When I am slowing down entering my driveway it goes away...
when my rear end was worn, it was making almost like a pulsating metal on metal rubbing sound. and it would get worse on a turn and when going around a corner slow, like pulling into a parking spot it made kind of a weird metalic sound as well.
Im thinking I am leaking gear oil or 4:10 werent installed right cause my motor seems to rev fine and all... I cant break tractrion... its weird...
Almost like there is no power down low... Like I never had 4.10's... Its weird... I dont understand...
I'm guessing it's a pre99, but that shouldn't matter as far as breaking traction with 4.10s.Are you sure the person that did the install didn't keep the 4.10s and leave you the stock gears? You got problems, might have the rear end checked.
Brand new brakes... I put cobra brakes on the front... The sound goes away under 10 mph I am wondering if my gear oil is low or something... I never had my speedometer recaliberated trust me i got 4.10 gears in that piece... When i am going 90 mph on the highway i get passed... Little weird.. Need it recaliberated... But I am thinking it has to be in the rear end...
