I was just wondering because I`v never seen any around for these engine`s.
If there is, what is the best performance duration for no botom end loss
and nice mid range. I want to let in some more air and fuel for some more HP on my stock 2.3L. Any link`s and experince`s welcome.

    Thank`s.

Have you looked around for them? Check with Comp Cams, Esslinger, Racer Walsh, Crane Cams, Laser Cams, or basically any other cam company...they ALL have 2.3 cams.

Well, depending on the cam anywhere from 5-15hp on a stock 2.3. Of course some of the "race" cams could do more than that probably.

I think the majority of 2.3L n/a cams are made for dirt track racing.

However Comp does make a pretty wide array of cams for the 2.3. I know they have a couple that are made for rangers to help boost torque some more.

Wouldn't it be better to port the head before replacing the cam

Probably...it's a whole lot easier to replace the cam though.

I remember a lot of talk some time ago about how it is not a good idea to change the cam on a speed density car... was this just a myth? if its true perhaps you should look for some other mods. if not then go for it!

Ya I read that, well I just mite call comp cam`s and ask them.
It does say this cam is for 1970-1990 2.3L ford. It say`s nothing about
speed density. I would like to go with the 268* 224@.050
