O.M.G.! today me and my pops were messing around with the timing after we put the new timin belt, cap, wires, etc on it and the best we could get it was runnin on two cylinders so i said fudge it im gonna drive it anyways. Well i went down the road and it was runnin like poo and i was thinkin that this was my car and that its never gonna be right. Then i seen some turkeys( im a big hunter) so i stopped and called to them then they eventually flew away well i gave it some gas and let off the clutch and the rear end squated and then it went for a sec and i was like wtf?! so i stopped again and did it and it left a nice lil burn out then i tried to get on it and it started backfirin, so i let off of it. I took it home and called my buddy to come look at it and tell me what he thinks. when he got here i started it up and it purred so i was like im drivin it! i took it out and omg i barely got on it and it was very quick so (only hit 9 pounds of boost) so now im all excited cause i got this car that i think is bad badash i cant wait for the blowoff valve and the intercooler so i can play with it now instead of me being the car is being lol i win! thanks for all yalls help and patience i greatly appreiate yall rule hey now im one of those turbo guys (SWEEEET!) robbie
i have no idea maybe it has been sittin for so long that it needed to be blown out or sumthin all i know is that it runs good except for the fact of building up alot of pressure in the coolant hoses and its over heatin. im pretty sure its not a head gasket cause its got good compression on all the cylinders (dont remember the #'s off the top of my head), no oil in the water, no smoke from the exaugst(sp) im thinkin maybe the thermostat or a bad radiator cap. any ideas? oh yea the first kill is a 2002 focus zx5 with a ful exaugst(sp), intake, and some fat tires. i walked the dog on him lol it was great. Anybody know about how much an muffler shop could make me a down pipe for? just wonderin cause all i need now is exaugst(sp) thanks robbie
