for owning a GT, the host isn't informed on the engine. he claimed it was basically the same as a Lightning engine. um, besides the stronger block, forged internals, 4V heads/cams, and twin screw supercharger, it's the same as the L. they do have the same crankshaft. maybe that's what he ment.

you won't see a stock Viper come close to the time the GT ran on that track. the Viper ran close in the 1/4mi with the preproduction version of the GT. the GT outhandled it by a solid margin.

yup they found 50 more horses in the production model (advertiseed flywheel 550 hp total) though, I think that is underrated still, since their were rumors of around 525 whp when one was thrown on a dyno...
