well im not sure where to start with my car. right now my car is sitting lopsided, the driver side looks about 1.5" lower than the passenger(my springs look fine) i replaced the ball joints and have crazy shaking over 100km/h. last time i had the front end up in the air i found play in the rack and pinion system. i pretty much need a whole knew interior and a paint job is needed very bad i have rust begining showing up. oh yes i couldnt forget that when it sits out in the rain it leaks!!! i need all knew weather stripping all around and i have a hell of alot of rattles and it really badly needs a different exhaust. should i spend my money rebuilding or scrap the car, the engine was recently rebuilt and i have a knew clutch. the car itself has 322 687 kms on it which is about 200 000 miles. what should i do? and if i rebuild where should i start?

B.C Canada uh, I been to Van Couver before. It was really nice up there :)

Its just me ok, but I can't help but wonder how much cheaper it would be to buy a nice running 2.3L "Fox" or even a 5.0L than to fix up your car. That is if its really that bad of shape.

On the other hand a few days in a J/Y, a weather stip kit and a exhaust shop would proubly get you fixed up.

Good luck either way you go :nice:

Glad to hear you like it up here in my part of the world. I live on the coast only a few hours from vancouver. I know that in a junkyard i could find practically anything i need but i would have to go to Vancouver to find anything and that involves catching 2 ferries eachway, taking a truck with me to car things, a place to stay while i do the search, and a bunch of cash to purchase the parts. If i somehow happen to stumble on a great amount of cash then it will most definatly be done but i dont see that happening atleast not until after summer. Another thing i have to think about is that after summer I am graduated and will work full time for a year before i go for somemore school and during that year I am buying a truck from my grandpa for $16 000. I would love to have some cash to throw around but just dont see it happening.

Pro-Hawk what area do you call home

How are the tires? Have you aligned the suspension lately? Checked the tire pressure?

Yeah my '88 has the drivers side slam. I overheard somewhere that theres no cure unless you rig something to fix it.

There was an 8 page thread about the lean on Corral a while back, and it still didn't get resolved. Just gotta lessen it as much as you can, I guess.

If it were me, and I was really attached to the car (which I am to mine), I'd fix it up. But then again, I have some really good junkyards locally and my car is in much better condition than yours seems to be. So I'd like to say fix it up, but it's really your choice.
