It's been a while, since August 30th. Life is starting to get sorted out again since this whole divorce process started back in April/May whatever. My soon to be Ex is not making things too difficult on me. I found out this past weekend one of the reasons why, She is engaged to the other guys and they are planning a July Wedding. I am in the process of selling the house and looking for a new place. Once I get settled again I hope to start working on the Mustang again.
Hang in there. The only thing worse than divorce is waisting you life in a loveless marriage. Did you hire an attorney?
Yep, I hired a lawyer, she didn't. It is actually going pretty smoothly and she isn't taking me for too much more than 16 years. She will end up getting about $30,000 dollars or so (one of my 401K plans and half the proceeds from selling the house), no spousal support, and only about $215 a week in child support. If she wanted to she could probably get about another $125 or so in child support a week. We have split most of the stuff in the house already, she is asking about some of the Christmas stuff now. She has no interest in my tools or the Mustang. We will finalize the divorce right after the new year, and hopefully the house will sell soon so I can get moved into someplace new. Once that is all done I should be able to get my finances squared away and be ready to start fresh. Hopefully by Spring Carlisle I will be working on the mustang again.
