I got my wife a set of SLP Loudmouth exhaust for her 96 Cobra for her birthday. I installed it this afternoon and it's awesome. The fit and finish are perfect and installation was a breeze. After I ordered it, I started hearing people say that the SLP was too loud and I started to get worried. I shouldn't have been. It's very nasty sounding, but in an exotic car kind of way rather than a NASCAR kind of way. If you're looking for an exhaust that doesn't sound like every other one out there, go SLP. Now I wish they made them for my 5.0.

How much did that SLP catback cost. Where did you get it and are you running with CATS X Pipe etc.
thinking about it for my bone stock 01 Cobra Vert. Stock sound leaves much to be worked on.

I had the SLP Loud mouth on my SS Camaro...

    Wouldn't trade it for nothing.

Havn't heard them on a Stang yet but SLP makes nice Stuff!

That catback has been on the market for F-bodies since 99'... Its the original.

The Borla version is an expensive copy-cat.

I got it on eBay from this guy http://stores.ebay.com/New-Era-Performance_W0QQsspagenameZl2QQtZkm for $405 shipped. Highly recommended. Check out the sound clips on mustangexhaust.com. They're quite accurate. I'm running it with a stock H-pipe. Very nice, aggressive sound.

Now I find out it must be defective since it has bullet-style mufflers. Damn. Ripped off again. I didn't know it wasn't supposed to have any. :nonono:

SLP loudmouth has mufflers, it would not be street legal without them.

Those bullet style mufflers are suppose to be there...no worries.

Sarcasm apparently doesn't translate on the internet very well.

    Technically they are resonators....:D

And it is my personal opinion that the SLP's sound too harsh. Kind of like choppy poop/shattered glass mixed.

But they have good build quality, and if it makes you happy then good for joO. :flag:

Looks like mine except my mufflers are polished stainless that's as bright as the tips with SLP stamped in the sides.

I love the sound of my Loudmouth matched with my SLP X pipe w cats. Sounds bad ass as hell. The ONLY other exhaust i would of bought would of been bassani. Like the SLP b/c of the quality for the Price. AND i used to have the LM on my 99 Firebird.

I'm not really interested in a cat-back system on my '97, but I do like the look of their catted x pipe.

I like the sound of the SLP stuff. Not too loud, not too quiet.
