As for again, way too much, but at least the blue car looks to be show condition, and have quite a few dollars in extras. Unlike the dirty engined lizstick car.
Maybe so, but he also is pretty unrealistic about what he thinks his Saleens are worth. I had a little email correspondence with him about a couple coupes he had on eBay, and basically informed him I had found 3-4 coupes in the 5K off MSRP range, and if he could get close, I'd like to try and do business with him. His replies were a little condescending, and he basically ended our emails with "why would I want to sell a Saleen for 5K off and lose money?" To which I replied "well, good luck trying to sell your Saleens at full retail." The following weekend, I loaded up my new 06 coupe in Atlanta Ga for 5200 off MSRP...which, BTW.. the dealer was so glad to sell a unit he gave me lifetime service and oil changes thrown in on top of the sale. This was a BIG dealership, and he had 30-40 Saleens sitting around. He also had Shelbys and various other SE Mustangs on the lot, and told me he could barely GIVE the Saleens away. He was even thinking of dropping the Saleen line, simply due to poor sales. So..in short...I'm not impressed with Saleen dealers who still live in the "its a Saleen, so its worth retail" dreamworld. Because they aren't worth retail anymore, not with the competition and hit and miss build quality. I love my Saleen, but reality is reality.
NO KIDDING. What kind of yo-yo puts a car on ebay for 53K, and doesnt even DETAIL THE MOTOR? Whata dork.
Yep, when I was visiting a friend in Tucson over the Thanksgiving holiday last year we perused the inventory @ a couple of local Ford dealers as he has a 2006 Mustang. One dealer had a silver S281E with $5K off the price. Of course the dealer had added one of those ubiquitous "market adjusted price" stickers right next to the OEM sticker with a $10K mark-up. I asked the salesman if the discount was off the retail price or the "adjusted" price. No need to tell you his answer...
