looking at either the UPR or QA1 k-members! does anyone have any experience with these? how is the quality? here is the links : QA1 96-04 Mustang QA-1 K-Member Kit UPR 1996-2004 Ford Mustang Tubular Chrome Moly K Member Kit - UPR Products thanks!
qa1= mild steel UPR= chrome moly! lighter and STRONGER!! i will be going with UPR when i get my k memebr and UPR is LIFETIME warrenty
no, and you would have to run a coil over kit, you can run coil over on your stock arms if you want...
I have qa1 k in my car and it fit perfectly. I have installed 2 UPR K members and the fitment was crap.
i highly disagree with that statment, tubular a-arms do make a difference. lighter control arms = less unsprung weight which = better reaction to bumps, less bump steer, and much better handling.
would doing front coilovers and a-arms make any difference? i dont really feel like pulling the k-member!
yes doing control arms and coilovers makes a difference, as well as what type of bushings you put in them.
The steeda K-member looks pretty solid. Just ran across it the other day on their website: Steeda Lightweight K-Member - '96-'04 Ford Mustang
honestly if your looking for a sturdy k-member do the MM k-member, its a great k-member. costs a bit more, but IMO is worth it.
If you dont want to coilover the car aje makes tubular control arms with a spring cup for coil springs.
+1000000000000000!!!!!!! Costly, but well worth the extra cash, especially on a street driven car. The other K members are ok, but just don't have the extra bracing that the MM k member has, which IMO, is very important on a frequently driven car...
I have used the UPR one a couple times and have nothing but good things to say about it. Plus, it's made in the USA.
