Kooks headers 50 state legal?

    I live in CA and want to install the kooks headers with catted x-pipe on my 2005 mustang gt and would like to know if they are 50 state legal? I've heard because the long tubes changes the original placement of the cats it will fail the visual inspection. Is this true?

    Thats what I was affraid of. Along the same subject if i change the cams to a comp xfi nsr stage 2 cam will I have issues passing smog? if so why?

    CAMS not so much ... get a really god tune ! I live in cali and have BBK shorties and Magnaflow catted X and i pass smog ! Just get a nice conservitive tune and youll be fine ! long tube youll fail right away once they see them your done !
