Just moved down here for work. Was wondering if there are a group of mustang guys or cars for that matter that get together. Or if there are any hot spots to hang. Also if there is any performance shops down here. THanks:nice:

Sorry man I tried to start a mustang club here and all I had where dreams that didn't show up. I have five mustangs now and would love to hang out with other mustang guys but everyone here has their nose in the air and thinks their stuff is better than anyone elses. As far as performance shops not much here either you have R&E which carries alot of stuff for mustangs but no one that knows anything about them and their dyno is way off. Then you have Hawaii Racing which is about an 1 hr 20 away. I would suggest just ordering from summit or another mail order place unless you need it in a hurry then one of the two should have it. What ever you do don't buy from Brandt Racing he will screw your car up and rip you off in the process. He screws kids on parts so he can race. I know because when I came to this town three years ago I meet him and didn't buy anything until he could impress me but he didn't and then if you watch him at the race track as soon as he brakes the flyers come out. One other fact is that I buy wholesale from the places he buys and he marks his stuff up 70%. Anyway this post is was waaaaaaay longer than I planned it to be. BTW were are you working. I work on Edwards AFB as a contractor. I'm always here to help if you have anyother questions. Oh and one other thing forget LACR the track is crap go to Fontana instead and if you go there GTR is right there and they are a really cool group of guy with good prices on their stuff. Good luck

Welcome, i'm out in lancaster, I have two mustangs, a 90 gt and a 96 gt.there isn't too much gathering of mustangs around here . I have a friend who has a 96 GT, another w/ a 2003 convert gt and a 95 gt. maybe we can start a club, there was one going for a while named straight domestic dunno what happened, this was few years back, we've never gotten around to starting a club ourselves. i like to give the thumbs up when i see afellow mustanger but sometimes i don't get a response:shrug: . He's right about brandt racing i used to go to him for parts buit the guy is a total rip off and all he cares about is the money. He's arrogant and thinks he is supreme to all especially the younger crowd. See you on the street. my 5.0 :[IMG]

Nothing yet:shrug: Ok I'll start. I would like to get everyone together for a group meeting to find out just how many people are interested in doing a club. What day would work better for everyone, Sat. or Sun., 12pm or 3pm.

I live in palmdale here, and I work at R&E Racing. Let me know what you guys need, I always hook up a fellow stanger.

I have a 94 GT. As for some of the other posts, I agree, dont buy chit from Gary, he screws alot of people. As for the dyno here being way off...never heard that one before!

Its actually a fairly new unit that I have personally tuned my car on as well as a few friends with 8 and 9 second cars...if you are referring to the conversion facter or the correction factor, then yes, it wont make the same numbers on our dyno as one at sea level, but that is what the conversion equation is for, which will make the numbers the same as any other dyno. Its the same thing as the track, it wont give you the same times as a sea level track will, but an equation is provided to correct for altitude.

The track is crap, but it is better than a long drive or getting busted by the cops.

Once again, let me know if and what you guys need, I hook alot of people up on prices.

Yes, but not with any Mustang clubs. Mostly with NASA and other smaller clubs that are non make specific. Most of the Mustang clubs are show and shine or drag race orientated. As far as shops go try Mike's Performance Automotive. He's small but does good work and is fare as far as labor and what you need.
