Leaking Differential Help.

I noticed some oil on the bottom of my differential and around where the driveshaft connects on my 2009 mustang gt. The oil does not seem to be dripping or anything. Could there be an issues? If the pinion seal was bad, would there be a substantial amount of oil leaking?

Depends on how long it's been leaking. It's not that big of a job, should be seal, any loss of fluid and 1 - 1.5 hrs labor.

I took the car to the dealership, and they said it was the pinion seal and replaced it. It still looks like there is oil where it was leaking before they replaced it, would the gear oil that previously leaked out dry up, or will it still look wet for awile?
